This page explains what personal information this website collects, why, and what you can ask me to do with it. In short: only what's needed to send your order or answer your message, never sold, and no tracking or advertising cookies.
who I am
This website is run by Leon Fenster, [Leon: business name if any, and a postal address]. For anything about your information, email info@leonfenster.com.
what I collect, and why
- When you buy something: your name, email, phone number, delivery address and what you ordered. Payment happens on Stripe's secure page; I never see or store your card number. I use these details to send your order, to contact you about it, and to keep the records the law requires.
- When you use the contact form or register interest: your name, email, your message, and whether you'd like to join the mailing list. I use them to reply to you, and to email you news only if you ticked the mailing list box.
- When you visit: the web server briefly records technical information, such as your IP address, to keep the site running and to stop abuse (for example, too many payment pages opened at once). The shop remembers your chosen currency and country on your own device; this is not sent to me.
who else handles it
A few trusted services process information for me, only to provide their service:
- Stripe takes payments and sends receipts (Stripe's privacy policy).
- Google stores order details and messages in my Google account, and provides the fonts on this site.
- Hostinger hosts this website.
- The postal service or courier receives your name and address to deliver your order.
Some of these services are based outside the UK (for example in the United States). They protect information with the safeguards UK law requires.
how long I keep it
Order records are kept for 6 years, as tax law requires. Messages are kept as long as we're in touch, and deleted when no longer needed. You can leave the mailing list at any time by replying to any email from me.
your rights
You can ask to see the information I hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop me using it. Email info@leonfenster.com and I'll reply within a month. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
cookies
This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies, and uses no analytics. Stripe's payment page uses its own cookies to keep payments secure.
